A quick, cutesy read. I loved all the quick sarcastic banter between Xander and Caymen. While it was a quick read it was still packed full of feels!! Loved it!
Read this in one sitting, not something I can normally do, even if I am really enjoying the book!
I loved both of the characters and wish there was a sequel.

I can't help but fall in love with Xander Spence.
I can sort of relate to Caymen right now relationship-wise and if I were her I would drop that guy like a hot potato because of pride and dignity.. but I'm glad I'm not her and I'm glad she didn't drop him like a hot potato because they're perf <3

This had the cute guy, the female protagonist/narrator's voice was one I found pretty funny, and I really enjoyed seeing the romance and the cameo of Skye (or maybe it's an introduction to her before 'On the Fence'? I'm not reading this in publication order so I'm not too sure) and just the romance.
I did find the prejudice against rich guy thing a bit much and I didn't feel satisfied by how the whole father storyline resolved itself. I also thought the plot did take a bit of an unrealistic turn near the end. However, the rest of the book made up for that enough for me to find this my favourite West novel despite all these things. I liked seeing Cayden interact with the customers and how she and Xander brought out the best in each other in terms of realising dreams/potential and that kind of thing.
So yep, twas cute and I guess there are worse ways to begin 2019 than reading some YA contemporaries and getting about 2 hours of sleep. 3.5/5 stars.

This was the gateway book to my full blown Kasie West addiction! I fell in love with her style and cast of characters so quickly I honestly thought I knew these people! Xander and Cayman are such a perfect pairing and it always makes me happy when the pairing is airtight perfect. Words cannot describe my love for this book.
What is with contemporaries and abrupt endings? Just when everything was all cute and happy the book suddenly stopped, I got that what will happen afterward would be quite self explanatory but still I felt like I needed it like an epilogue.
