Absolutely amazing! Once again, it was so well-written, with just as many twists and turns as Six of Crows, this was a fabulous conclusion to the duology.
“Fear is a phoenix. You can watch it burn a thousand times and still it will return.”
I can't decide whether I prefer this or Six of Crows. On the one hand, i loved the flashbacks and how well they were woven into the previous novel, the writing was incredible, and being introduced to all of the characters was brilliant. However, in Crooked Kingdom we see all of the relationships develop and although i did miss the flashbacks (especially the Nina/Matthias ones - recently realised it's pronounced muh-TYE-uhs, not MATH-ee-ahs, which i've been saying this whole time), there were just as many surprises and twists.

I loved Matthias' character arc over the duology, and, actually, each one of the six has changed so much. I found the ending quite bittersweet because I am satisfied with their 'happy endings', but now it's over. Finished. Complete. I want more tales of the crows' adventures, I need more of their banter and their jokes. Bardugo writes such natural and ingenious dialogue, that i need more.

Crooked Kingdom is an enthralling end to the Six of Crows duology.

SO GOOD SO GOOD SO GOOD SO GOOD!

THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT

ETA 12/28/2019 — Upon a second read this is really a 4.5. I enjoyed it so much and am really happy with the endings for each character; it feels like development did happen. Sad for Nina but then her storyline continues in King of Scars which is lit so?

I waited so long to finish this book, because I sorely, deeply, truly didn’t want it to end. But alas all things come to an end. :,)

DNF’d at Chapter 4.

Lord, I can not put myself through the hell that would be another book featuring Kaz. I don’t get why readers like him so much. He has no personality and in my opinion Six of Crows and this book would be so much better if his POV chapters were cut down by 80%.

this book tore me apart from the inside out. the dynamics over this entire duology have been so fun to watch grow and every time i think “how will they get out of this” they show it with most elaborate scheme i’ve ever seen. everything about this was amazing and this series instantly shot up to my top 5. i’ll be rereading this again.

★★★★ ─── 4 stars read.

just gonna sit on my thoughts literally before writing any review, but i just want to let y'all know that YES, I FINISHED A SERIES OF BOOKS, FINALLY. i fought my fear of series with 6 of crows and what a splendid idea it was. also i love the six of them so bad.

it's definitely a 4 stars just like the first one, both of the books are worth the hype and i've seen people saying crooked kingdom isn't as good as the first one and let me say : what are they on ?!
