After Discovering Lindsey Kelk’s writing recently I knew that I needed another fix to end the month and this one was the perfect choice with the perfect escapism book & once again left me in stitches laughing throughout the book. It’s safe to say that Kelk knows how to right a realistic romance book and I already can’t wait for my next fix from her! This was the perfect Cinderella retelling

Fran Cooper works as an administrative assistant for a temporary agency. She mostly works for CEO’s and corporate clients who need an administrative assistant for short term jobs. She gets a last-minute assignment to assist a mysterious person, and when she arrives, she finds out its superstar, singer Juliette. Also, she must travel with her on a yacht in the Mediterranean Sea and make sure she goes to the Crystal Ball, a very exclusive charity event on the Island a Panera.

This was a book that I could escape to each day and get lost in the story and just enjoy the descriptions and then watch all the events play out in my head bade for an immersive experience. The Characters where well developed and felt super realistic and well throughout out. It was all tastefully done and kept me entertained throughout! If you’re in the mood for a light-hearted romantic contemporary, I would recommend this.

I adored this book, I absolutely loved the characters and there interactions.

Fran's job sounds so cool and the things that she gets to do is exciting to read about.

I really liked the relationships in this book and I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Fran and how she handled things, she was so relatable.

I will definitely read another book by Lindsey Kelk and recommend to friends and family.

How can this be a romance novel if the main character doesn’t meet the love interest before the middle of the book? This book had a lot of potential but unfortunately it did not hit the mark for me.

Funny, swoonworthy and downright enjoyable.

Lindsey does it again!
One of the few authors to make me laugh out loud. She nailed the dry British humour with our main character, added a Below Deck vibe to the story and gave us toecurling swoon!

I enjoyed this story so much! I loved how it was more about Fran's personal journey than it was about the romance. The comedy in this story is subtle but so sharp and I loved every minute!

A whole night sky full of stars for this absolutely breathtaking rom-com.

Wow, just, wow this book was just perfect. Chick-Lit with a side serving of very sexy stranger, this was everything I didn't even know I wanted or needed to read. The author's entire back catalogue has just shot to the top of my TBR list for 2022. All I can say is that you need to read this, ASAP.

Fran was so utterly adorable, who could help but fall in love with her? And even though we were never meant to be on #TeamStew, I loved that the author also showed us a decent side to him, eventually. Some elements were perhaps predictable and cliched, but how the author included them and just her sheer brilliance at immersing you inside the story made this an absolute page-turner.

Whilst there is a love interest - and boy is he all things tall, dark and ridiculously gorgeous - this was much more Fran's story. Don't get me wrong, I adored Evan and was 100% invested in the couple getting their HEA, but I was even more committed to following her journey of personal growth and development. It wasn't always an easy path, this book definitely played on my emotions and that ending, *sigh*, was so full of feels!

This has just launched itself straight into my Top 10 reads of the year. It's also left me with a massive book hangover.
