I really enjoyed this storyline as it focuses on Vader in his very early days. He's not the absolutely ruthless leader we all know, he's very young, inexperienced and immature. It shows an interesting side to Vader, his vulnerability during his transition from a broken Anakin to vengeful Darth. It's an aspect of his character that I haven't seen be explored before and it was done very well from a psychological perspective. I liked seeing Vader learning the ways of the Sith and generally some Teacher-Student moments between him and Palpatine. The fight scenes in this story were also amazingly drawn and gorgeous to look at. The storyline is very simple but very well written. It showcases a very personal and important journey Vader must go on in order to become his true self. It was thrilling to read and makes good use of the movie material. I'll definitely be reading the rest of the books in this series.

Starts off immediately after the end of Episode III. You see Vader, having lost his saber in the duel with Kenobi, try and find a crystal to make a new one by looking for a jedi that survived order 66 and take it from him, then turn it red by "bleeding" it. Cool stuff. I bought this like in 2017 or so, and hadn't read it for some reason haha

Really good. Glad this is canon

A few weeks ago, I decided to stop writing reviews and only log star listings for books because of some internal screaming and frustrations I had regarding the popularity contest that is the goodreads review system. However, I realize now I need to make a few notes to keep track of what I read because my memory is failing me... I am getting older.

I really, really enjoyed the Soule comics. It's the Vader I adore and love: pure power, anger and evil. This is the Vader that fans deserved and I believe that the Vader presented in the new Disney+ series was largely influenced by this representation.
