Beautiful second chance romance! This is the first book with flashbacks that I’ve actually enjoyed. Their issues of why they are at odds now is actually significant instead of the typical miscommunication. I think Lucien made the most growth, but I loved seeing Sloan learn to trust again. Also, the banter was amazing.

I’ve been waiting for this book since I first met Sloane and Lucien. I can’t believe the series is finally over but man was the final book everything I wanted and more. I couldn’t get enough of these two. By far my favorite in the series.

This should have been 4.5 stars and it definitely would have been if the book was all about Lucian. Despite being the female main character of this story - Sloane is a secondary character for almost the entirety of this book and it suffers because of it. This book just happens around her, she ends up with Lucian because HE decides she’s who he wants, not because of anything she does in the present day.

I thought the level of genuine hatred they had for each other would be caused by something bigger?
The reasoning for their fall out was meant to be a bit of a surprise and when it got revealed I was a bit disappointed, it was a traumatic event and difficult for them but just not what I was expecting
