Again and again, Chris is doing an amazing job with his books. It took me just a few days to fly through the pages of book number 4 and I am already looking forward the next part. The tension, action and adventure - it is all magical...

This is the 4th book in The Land of Stories series. This was so entertaining and maybe one of my favorites in this fantastical middle-grade series. What I like most about these books is how Colfer uses the original fairy tales and makes them different. I love the setting and at times it's so funny as well. I enjoyed all of the different worlds the characters travel to and the many literary references to other books and the way the story developed. It is perhaps a bit predictable, but it's no less enjoyable. Considering how this book ended I'm looking forward to reading the next book.

This is the first book in this series that annoyed me. It was more predictable than the previous books, and I have a particular dislike for books that end on a cliffhanger without a clear ending like this one did. Feels unnecessary, considering how every other book has been thus far.
