I cannot believe this one. Edge of my seat the entire time.
I'm truly in awe of this series and it constantly keeps me on my toes. I wish we had gotten a better closure for Sloane especially after what happened to her brother but I understand Cassie is the main character so the focus is her. This is the first book out of the entire series where I had no idea who the killer could've been. At one point I thought it was Aaron but after the reveal of him knowing Sloane was his sister I scratched that. I wasn't expecting it to be who it was at all.
Cassie's mother is actually alive and not dead?!
The ending felt a little rushed and I honestly think I'm still processing it lol. I had actually put this series down for at least a month, but I'm very glad I picked it up again. I will continue with the final book hopefully soon. This series is twisty and turny beyond belief and I'm excited to see how they handle finding Cassie's mom and if they ever do.
Off topic thing but Lia is now the only member of the Naturals we haven't gotten a lot of in depth backstory on and I'm hoping that we get it with the last book. Cassie references her two truths and a lie A LOT during this book, that I can't help but think it comes up in the last book because the author has a pretty good way of making everything come full circle.

As always these books are so good. My mind is blown again. I guess I don’t understand how the bones they tested came back as her mother’s if her mother is alive? How do they fake that? Unless I completely made that up and they didn’t test it. But I really enjoyed this one. I’m so sad Aaron Shaw had to die I really wanted more for him and sloane. JAW DROPPED WHEN WE HAD THE FLASHBACK AT THE RIVER ABOJT THE MAN SAYING HE KNEW JUDD? I have been thinking about that because I was like what did that have to do with the book hello? But this being so much bigger than anyone expected also blew my mind what the hell.

These books are so good, I just love them. Each book builds on the next, but not in a super obvious way, and the mysteries at the center of each are so different and complex and twisty! Love this series!
