DID NOT FINISH

DNF at 30%
Jedného dňa, keď budem mať straaašne veľa času, a straaašne málo kníh na čítanie, sa k tomu možno vrátim a dorazím to. Teraz však akurát len trpím, a navyše mi to zaberá miesto na CR poličke. Táto Rothová jednoducho nebola pre mňa.

I wanna give it 4.5 stars but that's not an option,
I absolutely loved this book. I have a new book crush called Cyra.

Okay I really liked the of the gifts and the fates! It makes everything really interesting! as does the subtle reference to Star Wars and the force with the current!

I really hope the second book doesn't disappoint, because even though the romance portion of the book was a bit more than what I would've liked...I really like Cyra's and Akos' personality and traits. I like the fact that Cyra's trying to beat her fear of letting people in and I really like that behind all of the mask of though guy in Akos there is a really curious and caring person.

And I think I would've liked to see more of the space travel and more of Akos and Cyra on their "rooms" in the spaceship, I really loved the description of the room that Cyra decorated, which represented her curious nature and what she could actually have been, with her more warm mother and without her monster of father and more lately her brother.

Let's hope I don't get too disappointed

Forzado. No creíble. Ridículo. Súper lento.
Totalmente decepcionada.

3.5? This was actually a solid book. Nothing ground breaking, but it went by very fast for a 400+ page book. It also got me out of a slight slump, so thats a thing. I was reading this at first and was like "this is very divergent vibes" then realized it was by the same author. By the end of reading this, I would say it most closely gives Hunger Games: Mocking Jay. So that says that, yes good plot, but it didn't spend too much time on world building. (notice how im relating it to the third book of a series, so that shows how little world building it did) I still understood the world, but there was much up for inturpretation with how the characters and government worked. It was like the author couldn't decide to write a dystopian, fantasy, or sci-fi book, so she put all three into one. I would say mostly sci-fi dystopian, however. Now to the romance, I really enjoyed the character seperatly, and together they were cute. However, I noticed this pattern of "I'm mad and they did xyz I didn't like" but then the next chapter it was just ignored and was like "ugh they are so pretty and i kinda just want to kiss you right now." Ig things that should have been talked about or resulted in a fight...didn't. That is fine, saying this isn't a romance focused book, it was just something to add in.

3/5

I bought this book back in 2017 on the day that it was released. It remained on my TBR list until I started reading it 16 days ago. Despite all the controversy, I told myself that I was going to read it and I did. I wanted to experience the story for myself. I enjoyed reading this even though I dragged a bit in certain parts of the story. It takes a lot for me to put down a book. I was determined not to do that with this book.

I am glad that I finished it.
