This is a beautiful story about relationships and what we are willing to do and sacrifice for love and for our dreams. The characters are rich and I found myself caring for them even when they behaved like shits. But that’s real, isn’t it? People we love sometimes behave badly, but we forgive and move on. This book is a wonderful example of that.

Read as a tie in to the Olympics. Some of the characters re a bit of a characture , but the overall themes are well-told and relatable. Learned about a sport I had never really heard of and gained insight into some of the background people and intense training it takes to be a world class athlete.

It took me a bit to get into the story because of the format. It jumped from character to character and so it seemed a little choppy to me. It also blended past and present. I enjoyed the characters and was even a little surprised as all the puzzle pieces fit together.

Interesante cómo refleja el mundo del deporte de alto rendimiento. Es una novela entretenida. Tiene algunos rasgos de personaje y situaciones desconcertantes (un tantito inverosímiles o chocantes) pero en general se deja leer. Eso sí, pienso que no volvería a leerla.
