I was surprised how much of this book I could apply to my life, given that I am not religious. Augustine actually thinks about his faith and has strong reasons for his belief system; he doesn’t take the word of God at face value simply because he was told to. It dragged at times, especially with the copious quotations of scripture, but overall this was an interesting glimpse into a different belief system.
