This book threw me in a whirlwind of emotions. Never have I ever had to take so many notes while reading a book. I took more notes than when an author gives me a book to review!

Every negative thing I have to say about this book is usually followed with a positive reaction as well. Because at first when I read, I wouldn't like certain things. The more I went on the more I ended up liking those things.

The first negative for me was the beginning. We see a side of Alejandro that we really won't later. I was iffy at first but the amount of character background on him and his family is great. It goes into this tale of his first love, which for a moment I thought was Lexi, the female MC, but it's not. It takes 147 pages for it to be in the "now" (or so I thought) because turns out the "now" was only years from after the beginning. Page 155 is when Lexi is brought in.

See, this book does many time jumps, and large ones at that sometimes. At first I despised this! I just wanted to read the romance in one go. Not have years between meetings. It took me a while to realize the brilliance in this: Alejandro is a tough character. He is El Diablo "the Devil" and M. Robinson had to make him stay in that role. Realistically he isn't an easy man to love, and he himself wouldn't allow himself to love so easily. I also ended up enjoying the gaps between meetings because it always left me wanting more for them. The time lapses go right up until the end of the book.

The first chunk of the book is only focused on Alejandro. When he's 24 years old, it's when we finally meet Lexi...as an 8 year old. This is only where readers are introduced to her; they don't meet here. Pay attention to what happens in this scene though...You'll wanna reflect on it later toward the end of the book. I think the age gap was done to show the differences in their lives, ages included, and also because his parents had many years between them and there's so many references to him becoming more and more like his father. I think this is how.

Page 198, almost halfway through the book, is the moment I was waiting for: their initial meeting! It's a quick one though. Short and snarky conversation before she drives away and it's five years before they meet again. When they do, it's been 5 years since the initial meeting, so now she's older, past teenage hood. This meeting doesn't last long either.

Time keeps jumping: 5 years, a few weeks, 3 months, 3 months.... After the 5 years I believe is when they are more together this time. She injures herself and he cares for her. So three months go by of her being there basically ignored. Then 3 more when they interact. And so on. Then (and this is the biggest jump) is 10 years!! I was quite taken by this especially since where they were at being together.

The last thing I'll say about the time jumps to any of you reading this: give it a chance. For a while I was so iffy. The fact that this book was super good kept me interested and then made me appreciate the time lapses. Although I was often still taken back by them, it was never overly bad.

Alejandro as a character is easily my favorite! He's so complex. Funny, cruel, mean, hot...the list can go on. He's so many things and yet he was so awesome to read about and be in his head. I love the things he thought.

Speaking of what he thought.....that ending for a moment almost killed me. I honestly debated if there would be a HEA only because of everything he said. I looked back on all their encounters, and it makes sense. If you read between the lines, he was warning her the whole time.

When everything goes down and then the end is nearer, it gets better and happier again and things above are explained more that won't make you cry anymore. This damn book..the carpet just keeps getting pulled out from under me.

In my mind I have so much to say about this book but there's no actual words appropriate enough coming to mind. I jumped between 4 and 5 stars so many times but had no doubts when I landed on 5. This book is a mindf*ck but it's just so amazing. I went from eh to really good to really enjoying this to really loving this to this is a new favorite and I must own it as a physical copy. I read it in a day and during my classes cause I just couldn't stop! So yes..everyone read this!

Ok so holy crap she does it again. I mean seriously, she once again took my heart, ripped it out of my chest, wrung it out, stomped on it, put it in a shredder, torched it, stabbed it, healed it, and put it back in my chest.

So this is the amazing story of Martinez. A man that is not a good, decent man, and hasn't been that kind of a man since he was young. His whole world changed one night when he was a young man. That one night literally rocked his entire world and had rippling effects that never seem to stop. Little does he know that this one event is going to shape the man he becomes.

Martinez is The Dominant man that doesn't make any excuses for his behavior. He doesn't do relationships, ever. He doesn't do comforting, cuddling, loving, or anything of the sort. Martinez is a man that only needs women long enough to get what he wants, that release under his terms.

Lexi is a young woman that has had the worst sort of life growing up. She has pretty much had to raise herself, face down evil as a young girl, and do it all knowing that there is no one out there for her. All she has in her life is her dancing. Lexi doesn't do relationships, she doesn't really get close to others or let them get close to her, she doesn't like people touching her, and honestly, she is ok with that.

These two people couldn't seem more different if they tried. They seriously seem to be on polar opposites of the scale of good vs evil. However as we all know, things aren't always what they appear. Just when you think you have it figured out, the rug get pulled out from under you and down you fall. They try to learn from their mistakes, however, that isn't always easy. How do you stop your heart from beating??

I am going to be honest, I have loved every one of the books from M. Robinson. However, El Diablo is something on a whole other level. This book moved me to tears, made me stop and take a time out while in the middle of reading, and even process for quite some time after I was done. This was a book that once again, and like normal, is filled with angst. It totally gives you a giant case of the feels and makes you go the range of tears, love, laughter, hatred, agony, heartbreak, wanting to hurt someone, wanting to hold them close then turn around and push them away, keep them close and then run away from them. Basically it puts you through an entire relationship, but through the words of this amazing author. Once again, the #QueenOfAngst delivers and still reigns supreme!!

I thought this book had a good story to it, I wasn’t a huge fan of the quality of the audio but overall a good book.

Didn't even finish beyond the prologue

I don't mind any cussing in a book. It often doesn't bother me. However, the prologue is only two pages and I counted six (6) f bombs in those short pages. Even the first chapter of part one had it. There is a such things as overkill and this book from the short part I read already it it's overkill limited with me.

Lighten up on the profanity. There are plenty of other words you can use.

OMG. Amazing book! I love the Ol' bhttps://www.goodreads.com/book/show/30201299-el-diablooys series and I thought complicate me was the best. But this one is so different than the others that it makes it the best.

The twists Ms Robinson introduced here had my jaw hitting the floor and thinking: This is bloody brilliant!

I really wanted to hate the devil but instead I was swooning over him harder and harder. Alejandro is devilishly bad, smart, intelligent and oh so wrong to love. But every devil has a good side, right?

After Crave me you just wanted to know who he is, what his story is. What makes him The Devil.

And the answers? Are so Amezaballs that everyone will be satisfied.

5 freaking stars.

There was a lot of buzz around this book a year or so ago, so when it came up in a bookbub promo, I grabbed it. I found it disappointing. The narrative was wooden and disjointed, the timeline difficult to parse, and the characters of limited dimension.

This book was recommended to me, so I grabbed it on audible and started to listen. I love dark romance, so figured it should be entertaining. I enjoyed the first couple of hours, it was good, but it hadn't been 5 star...then all of a sudden....it hit. I cannot even begin to describe how this book started to consume me. Alejandro and Sofia, Amari and Michael, all interesting, how the lifestyles happen and how the family evolves. And El Diablo, that name could not fit Alejandro better. The pain and evil that he endures through his life is incredible. When Lexi comes into the picture, you try and figure where she fits into this, and what you find out only leads to your heart actually hurting. This cast of characters and emotion that M Robinson has created will blow your mind.

Marcio Catalano is amazing as Alejandro. His voice is perfect for the role. Lauren Sweet is good, she has a very young voice, great for the character of Lexi.

I debated reading this for a week haha and I’m actually really glad I did. I tend to only read safe books but this one was so well written and over the top that I couldn’t put it Down despite that. It was raw and say and filled with action. I really enjoyed it
