I can see why kids love this. DogMan was hilarious and reminded me a lot of Captain Underpants, which I loved as a kid. There are definitely a fair amount of poop jokes, so if you're not into that or sharing that with your kids, avoid Dav Pilkey all together.
Okay so I know I'm half the age over this book's target age range, but I don't really care because I loved this book back in my first grade. The series is being dragged though, like Warriors, but Warriors is like my soap opera and no matter how bad it gets I'lll always love it. I still think it should've ended at book ten, but this review is about this book and not the whole series.
So Greg the dog and Officer Knight get their head and body sewed into one body after an explosion (Which is really scary now that I think about it) A lot of parents on Amazon complain a LOT about what happens in this book. The hybrid is named Dog Man.
Anyways some of the jokes were still funny actually, there were four different stories, it's a good book but I can't rate it any higher than 3 stars for the other books in the series overshadowing it and the plot being everywhere.

Tja, ik dacht dat ik deze wel leuk zou vinden, gegeven dat ik andere werken door deze schrijver wel leuk (of in ieder geval redelijk ) vind. Helaas, dit was een hele grote teleurstelling. Echt het was dramatisch. Sorry, maar ik vond de humor maar niets, en ik ergerde me aan verschillende dingen. Ja maar, Mehsi, je bent ook geen kind. Nee goh, maar ik weet zeker dat kleine Mehsi ook NEE had gezegd met dit boek, misschien zelfs nog minder geduld er mee had dan ik. :P

Oh my God, why hadn't I discovered this series when I was younger? I watched the movie adaptation the other day and when I learnt that it was based on a children's book series, I was absolutely ecstatic!
The first book was really fun, the characters are very charming and Dog Man's adventures are fun to look at. The art style is really charming, I love it!
