Wat een leuk boek was dit! Alles over het leven van Frida Kahlo van haar jeugd en de verlamming tot haar volwassen tijd, het ongeluk en haar kunst en natuurlijk ook de liefde. Erg interessant en ik vond de illustraties echt top. Heb weer wat nieuws geleerd~

This short synopsis of her life in a child-digestible size creatively presents Kahlo’s history and story in a way that is engaging and understandable. The one caveat I would like to mention that I did not like was how Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera’s meet and love story went. It paints the image that they met and later became lovers when she was still underage and student-mentor. Depending on the age of the reader, this storyline would definitely need to be discussed how this is not right nor normal. While including this section is not inappropriate, I think the delivery should be called to attention.
