I always like reading historical fiction. This book was a harder read for me than it seems it was for others. I've only ever heard good things about her style, yet I had a hard time staying focused while reading. Maybe it was all the Spanish names.

Anyway, interesting read about the founding of Chile and the native Mapuche tribe.

Isabel Allende again giving us a great representation of strong empowered women in history. I like the autobiography style of the book and the combination of historical fiction.
