despite the blurb, I would not call this a psychological thriller. it’s lower stakes and much slower paced and falls more within the crime/mystery genre. 

the book itself was not my preferred genre and style (male author, mostly male characters) but the story was quite interesting and I liked the ending!

the writing was fine, if not a bit droning and monotonous at times. it could’ve been 50-100 pages shorter
