I cannot lie this cover is what pulled me in. Whoever is responsible did a BEAUTIFUL job. Our author Djaïli Amal wrote this very well. I was drawn into the pain of each woman. From forced arranged marriages and domestic abuse to unwanted polygamy.

My three stars is because the stories are told and then abruptly seem to end. We get no real sense of resolution for two of the womens stories. It was as if someone just pulled the plug for me. I would have loved for the stories to be longer. It doesn't feel complete.

Otherwise it was well written.
