Finally I finished it! Why didn't I like this book more? It's very funny, but I bogged down in the middle forever and ever. Did the repellency of every character have something to do with it? OK, OK, every human being has some repellent qualities; but I just couldn't take the overkill after a while. Once things started really happening in Absurdistan at the end I had no problem finishing it. Really brilliant in ways, but not my cup of tea.

Couldn't get into this one. I saw so many good reviews, but it was boring and receptive to me. Oh well. It gets 2 stars for some funny parts and satire.

(Reading on audio book, so far worth it for the Russian-Jewish narrator shouting out the lyrics to DJ Assult's "Ass N' Titties")

The accent the audiobook reader was using was not working for me. I only read the very beginning.

Over the top, but I guess that's the point. Problem with absurdity is that it makes it difficult to connect with the characters.
