This was a disappointment because it's been on my TBR forever and my library finally picked it up. 

The cover is wildly mismatched to the story inside. It's a mafia romance which is not my thing. Hated that plot and how passive and doormat-y the FMC was most of the book. 

The MMC is not just grumpy but he's also a bully. He breaks her door down at one point! I think I've lost interest in this author.

To be honest, the only flaw about any of these characters is that none of them have the ability to listen. Every bit of information they learn goes in one ear and out the other.

could write a whole essay on everything that infuriated me about this book (especially because the first two books were so!! good!!) but the fact that i am to believe the mmc is So concerned about women's safety but still 1. breaks into the fmc's bakery multiple times (he has a lock picking set) and 2. BREAKS DOWN HER DOOR when she didn't do what he asked her to do aka coming to his place. idk kinda ruined the whole small town romance vibe.
