This series literally just got worse with each book. 

The storyline of this one was pretty much trash, the romance was… okay at the best of times, the MMC was a presumptuous dickhead, the FMC was weak minded (and kind of stupid sometimes), and the spice was SO. CRINGEY. 😬 

I was just disappointed. It felt like a story I’ve already read but I’m a worse format and I felt frustrated for like 75% of the time I was listening to it. I was hoping I’d feel justified sticking with it til the end but I probably should’ve just DNF’d when I knew I wasn’t liking the characters or the storyline much.

To be honest, the only flaw about any of these characters is that none of them have the ability to listen. Every bit of information they learn goes in one ear and out the other.

could write a whole essay on everything that infuriated me about this book (especially because the first two books were so!! good!!) but the fact that i am to believe the mmc is So concerned about women's safety but still 1. breaks into the fmc's bakery multiple times (he has a lock picking set) and 2. BREAKS DOWN HER DOOR when she didn't do what he asked her to do aka coming to his place. idk kinda ruined the whole small town romance vibe.
