Tim Curry does it again. His Carmelita Spats had me in stitches.

It has taken me a thousand years to finish this but the book should not be blamed for this. As usual, it was excellently written, extremely witty and consistently funny. I will say I was ridiculously upset that the siblings were separated for the majority of the book. Sunny may well be my favourite.
This one is longer than the previous books in the series and does seem to drag a bit in places.
I am amazed by how everything seems to be linking together in the narrative. I can't wait to read the next installment!

I forgot how fast-paced and short these books are - a nice change from some of the other books I've been reading this year. I gave this book 5 stars mainly for nostalgic reasons, as I always found it to be the one with the most character development, as well as one of the more interesting plot lines in the series. Having said that, I'm not enjoying the lack of characters of different races, as well as the lack of any LGBTQ+ characters. It's probably just me being extremely over-picky, but in a 13 book series it would be nice for him to slip a few in the mix. My hopes are telling me that I still have three books remaining so the possibility still stands, but the realist in me remembers otherwise.
