DNF’d . I NEVER dnf because it hurts me to not see a story through but there is ZERO plot and ZERO chemistry in this book. The whole time I was reading this book all I was thinking was “this is the smut I wish I got in Birthday Girl by Penelope Douglas. If that book and this book had a baby, it would be chefs kiss.
If you wanna … read with one hand … and have a daddy kink then this book is for you

DNF at 49%. I love some good quality smut and I love books that are primarily smut, even if there is no real plot lol. But, typically those books are less than 200 pages long and have some story in between(even if minimal). There is only so many ways you can fuck a person or get fucked. There were a lot of parts that would turn it around with some confrontation, but it would last two pages and then they started fucking again. It also needed some proofreading, a lot of missing words or words that didn’t belong in the sentence. I really wanted to love this book, it started so good, but I just couldn’t do it.

This is the year we DNF the ones that don't work. Knew this one was going to be a hard one to get through from the first time Daddy dearest talked about his son with disgust when, as far as I could tell, the kid hadn't done much to deserve it at that point. Tyler's contempt for his kid was so much at the forefront of this book that I don't really think he needed much of a reason to steal his girl. I DNF'ed it at about 40%

I loved the first 60% of this book but by the time the ending came along I was a little bored. I'm glad they had a HEA and I don't know why I lost interest but it was a good book.

Idk this just wasn't the best.

If someone had told me the plot before (and with that I mean the third act conflict) I could've just focused on the smut and enjoyed the book for that. Because the smut was really good, there just wasn't any plot and the very little of it felt kinda cheap tbh.
There was something about Tyler that was a constant back and forth between "smash" and "I love him" and a big fat red flag.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the book for the smut but after the "big event" that happened, I really wanted to dnf it! I don't like to dnf so I dragged myself through it, but the last 40-30% weren't any fun really.

I'm okay with insta-love when it comes to smut because, for me, when reading smut, I have different expectations than if I am reading a book with spice. However, this insta-love just didn't connect for me. It didn't feel supported and I felt I had to suspend my belief in their connection. A lot of the lines are cringey.
