So I am going to keep this review short. There are other reviews that have the spoilers if you want those. I really enjoyed this book. The happenings in this story was completely crazy but I am really loving Mia finally. Earlier in the series she was a bit frustrating, but this book she really shined for me. Mateo is your typical anti hero that you can't help but loving. Then we have Meg, I wanted to love her in this book, but she was so annoying in this book and I just want her to go away and leave haha I really have enjoyed her character in the past, but its obvious she just doesn't have even close to the connection to Mateo that Mia has to him. And I really didn't care for Vince or Rafe in this book. I know Vince has a good ending, so I am really curious to see how that develops in the next book. But this one is hard to see for our trio and seeing the truths revealed about their relationship. I really feel for the children caught up in between these adults. I am curious to see how everything gets resolved in the finale though. I am glad to be getting caught up on this family and eager to get more of the Vegas Morelli's as well. The complexity to these books are mind blowing and really test your boundaries and while it was rough reading this at times, it also delivered on the heart that I love to see with these characters. This author is definitely a complex world builder and she can craft a series so beautifully. Overall this one was a solid installment and eager for this family to get everything resolved.

Finally Mia and Mateo are together exclusively, even though it took awhile. We got there in the end. Meg is still in the picture which i hate. I'm hoping they get rid of her in the next book because i honestly cannot stand her. She claims to be best friends with Mia and so fine with the sharing, yet she's jealous and scheming and admitted she wanted her dead. What kind of friend does that? With that betrayal i'm hoping Mateo just kills her off.

I'm kind of sick of Vince pining for Mia. I mean he needs to learn to let go of her, or maybe not cause he might possibly die for what he did? so i'm not sure what will happen with him yet.

One thing that i dislike of Mia's personality is that she is too caring and kind even to people who do not deserve that from her. We did see an improvement in this book where she did slightly stand up for herself which was amazing, but i want more of it. When she did find out that Meg sold her out she did nothing about it. yes she was hurt but that was it. I wanted her to punch that bitch for what she did. In moments like that i wish she wasn't so kind and forgiving.

I really don’t know how Sam Mariano makes me like angsty books because I actually really hate them. She’s got like magic angst or something.

Also not to start a debate because you can like whoever you want in this series obviously but I hate Meg so much. I don’t know why anyone could like her. She’s so awful. Honestly I didn’t like her in her book. Yuck.

While still enjoyable and entertaining, I had a few problems with this book. The Vince storyline was ridiculous and Mia still protecting him after everything was foolish. There's kind and there's stupid. I really liked that Dante didn't like her and found her annoying. I wanted Mateo to release the monster because Vince deserved it. Didn't like Mia insisting on keeping the evidence of Vince's betrayal. I felt like it was a huge ask to ask Mateo to put up with the insult. Then the scene with Meg and her part in it, that was awful. I loved the introduction of Rafe and his charisma. I'll say I loved Adrian and Elise in this book. Elise didn't play around and came right out and told Mia to watch herself around her man. She had every right to be pissed that Mia showed up on her doorstep wearing a skimpy robe asking to see her husband. She put Mia in her place and I loved it. I'm also glad Sal and Fran cut off her friendship with Mark. He'll move on without getting dragged into her doe eye shit. Looking forward to the final book and then Mateo's POV.
