This book is OLD. Very, very old. I was rather intimidating going into it, expecting it to be wordy and convoluted, like many classics, but it was a surprisingly quick read. For the most part, the writing is simple and straightforward. And the ideas proposed seem sound and logical.

A bit dry, but that's to be expected, given the subject matter.

I'm glad to get another classic under my belt. As far as classics go, this was a pretty good one.

Historical curiosity pushed me to finally pick this up, and honestly it was very interesting. Super interesting to know that the basic theory of battle (and more importantly avoiding it) has remained the same.

Lately, I have started reading older philosophical books. I really loved this book and although it's about military strategy and it was written in China around 5th century B.C., a lot of it could be applied to other situations...especially in the business and the corporate world. One can also apply it to the enemy within. I can understand why it's so highly rated and thought of.

I was bored to tears, but hey, now I know what I should do if I ever lead an army into battle. It's too bad most of the world, especially the leaders, have read this too. I guess it's better to avoid the conflict when we can and just fight through cyberspace.

Wasn't really expecting to find a book about war strategy interesting but here we are.
