Enjoyed this more than Dream Thieves for sure but definitely didn't hit as hard as book 1. I don't really know what happened to bring me down from a 5, but I just feel maybe the direction the plot and characters are going is quite what I hoped it would be. Like the hitman stuff I'm not fully on board with, and it still feels like a lot of Blue's 'job' is to be in love with Gansey and tormented about it.

There were some cool bits like how their thoughts could influence the caves, and how Adam and Ronan are more connected to it than the others.

Not particularly stand-out memorable but solid enough.

I really love the direction this series is going. I have noticed a pattern from the first and second books but that pattern was quickly shattered towards the end of Blue Lily, Lily Blue. I seriously wish it hadn't been broken because my heart hurts and it was so unexpected. Like the first two books, Blue and Her Boys continue seeking the sleeping king and they run into a few set backs like usual. I kind of felt that this books was a little softer in terms of thrills although it was still very thrilling. There were so many new secrets uncovered it still hasn't really sunk in just yet. One thing that I'm looking forward to is (spoiler) Ronan confessing his sexuality to the group and whether or not he has feelings for SOMEONE in the story. I seriously can't wait to see how all this ends but I'm saddened by what the possibilities are.
