A copy of the book has been provided by the author, Jacqueline E. Smith, in exchange for an honest review.

Michael Sinclair is no ordinary man for he can see dead people.

Between Worlds is the second installment in the Cemetery Tours series and it follows our protagonist on a goose chase on a story of a ghost, Sterling Hall, and the true nature of why he has yet to pass into the afterlife.

What I love about this book is that it is electric. It gives you the current on your bones as if you were watching a show that you are fully engrossed with. It shares its sentiments with its readers and it is reality written.

The plot itself is a mystery injected in a simple and fast-paced fun story that will keep you on your toes with the mixture of different emotions. You’ll empathize with each character knowing full well their capacity and range passion for what they do.

Overall, I highly enjoyed Between Worlds. Like Cemetery Tours, this is a book you should pick up when you want to get your feet back into waters. When you are in a state of dilemma on whether what to read to get you out of that so-called “reading slump.” Fast-paced and entirely entertaining, Between Worlds is the right pick.

Once more Jacqueline delivers a truly unique and adventures tale. We join Michael, Luke, and Kate once more on a ghost hunt that gets out of hand as the crew learns more about the ghost haunting a home in Maine. I loved getting to join the team once more for a wild and humorous ride.

I received this book for free from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I was so excited to read this book because it takes place in a haunted house. Fun fact about me: I LOVE haunted houses. My favorite ride at Disneyland is the Haunted Mansion and I often consider it to be my dream home. I also live super close to the Winchester Mystery House (which is totally awesome by the way). So already I was destined to love this book.

description

I liked the first book in this series, but I loved this one more! I tend to like the second book in series more than the first because all the set up is already done. This book got straight to all the haunting fun and did not disappoint.

So first off, Stanton Hall Manor sounds like my kind of house. There’s a room called the Storybook Room and it sounds like the greatest thing ever. The book states, “The Storybook Room was designed like a book store, with antique novels lining each and every corner of each and every wall. It reminded Kate of the castle library in Beauty and the Beast” (90). That place sounds like heaven!

Character-wise, I really liked how we got to meet Luke’s ghost hunting team. I can’t wait to see more of them! Also, I really love Brink. He’s so precious and provides such great comedic relief.

The storyline was really good and as usual there was a good balance of the paranormal and the normal.

I also liked how natural Kate and Michael’s relationship felt. They make a very cute couple.

Overall, this was even better than the first. I can’t wait to start reading the third book as soon as I post this review.

Really enjoyed getting more of this cast of characters. I love Michael and Kate. I loved watching their relationship grow. This ghost story was pretty intense but I never really felt connected to the story of Sterling and his lost love. Can't wait to see if there is more to this story!
