I listened to this on Scribd and the audiobook narrators Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell are fantastic. This novel was fun and flirty, then after half way things get more real and serious.

I love how Reece pushed chase away a lot and put up boundaries due to Chase being a CEO / Boss. This made the sexual tension between them build from friends then to lovers. Chase can take me out to dinner and make a meal out of me any day though. Chase was fun, flirty and adamant he knows what he wants. He does not give up when it comes to Reece. With the first spicy scene was done Chase does aftercare on Reece and I was screaming. The spice is really good too I was smiling and obsessed with that man Chase.

Once they got to know each other more and more they opens up and the past would come back in to play which caused friction. This book was great and highly recommend the audiobook!

I really liked this book, it kept me up until 1am to finish it! I would have loved to get more current day chapters in Chase’s pov, but he was very open towards Reese about his feelings so we did sort of get his side of things that way. I was very happy with their communication to each other in general, it’s always so good when characters actually talk about their feelings! Once again a Vi Keeland book that takes a completely different turn than I expected, you think I’d have learned by now!

I loved how Chase and Reese came together in the end but I thought Chase’s backstory was so sad and affected the rest of his life. Good and emotional book.
