Another five star adventure by Jessica Drake! They each read like an extended episode of your favorite show. Exciting, heart-pounding, adrenaline inducing ride in a world filled with dragons, mysteries, treasures and a cast of characters you both love and hate. Old friends and fowes make appearances, some more appreciated than others. Danger at every turn is almost normal for Zara now, so being hunted by the military while being held against her will should be a walk in the park, while in enemy territory! Being separated from Lessie who grows more anxious by the day to reunite makes it all the harder. But that is just the beginning! I loved it, and I can't wait to read the next installment. More Tavarian to come I hope! Brooding, sexy scholarly magicians have a way of worming their way in, and I adore him as much as Lessie and Zara.

Salcombe is still a jackass

The war has broken out, Zara is still finding ways to slow down her old employer, and Lessie is still a recalcitrant little dragon with more guts than brains.

Okay, I give up. These books are not any good. This one barely had any dragons despite the name.
