Another good "what if" story. The twists were not completely unexpected but well-resolved with humor and a happy ending. Beautiful descriptions of the setting.

Dit was het eerste boek dat ik las van Montefiore. Ik vond het nogal zweverig geschreven en ze verliest zichzelf in te groteske omschrijvingen. Ik ergerde mij ook sterk aan de grammaticale fouten in de vertaling. Misschien zijn haar boeken beter verteerbaar in het Engels?

Wél nog leuk om hersenloos in de zon te liggen lezen.
