An eerie retelling of Snow White. The story is so creepy and the illustrations are gorgeous. Perfection

Alright Neil, let's get weird I guess. The artwork by Colleen Doran is some of the best (of not the actual best) I've seen in a graphic novel. The retelling by Gaiman was...unexpected. ***100% not for kids***

Snow, Glass, Apples is a graphic novel retelling of Snow White. In this short story, Neil Gaiman tells us the story from Snow White's stepmother's perspective. It turns out that the stepmother isn't as evil as we've all been led to believe and instead, Snow White is the questionable one.

This was a dark, quick read. Warning: this is not quite child-friendly since there is sex and nudity...and violence. For the kiddos, Stick to your classic Snow White fairy tale.

This was a pretty good retelling of Snow White. I enjoyed the fact that it was in the perspective of the Evil Queen (
"Evil Queen"
).

The story was quite creepy, and I enjoyed the eeriness. And not to mention that the artwork was absolutely stunning!

I'm not giving this book a rating, because it's simply too short. But, if I were to give this a rating, I would give this something in the 3-4 star range.

I absolutely loved the gorgeous art, however, the story didn’t work for me.
