Wow, this one gripped me right from the beginning and didn't let up the entire book. I've only read one other book by Ashley Jade (The Words) and that one definitely ripped my heart out. I feel like book 2 of this extremely complicated, heart-wrenching story.

Breslin and Asher were the cutest, most perfect couple, until a blackmailing prick inserted himself into the mix.

One night it just all falls apart. And they go their separate ways.

FF 3 years later when we meet Landon, Breslin's current friend with benefits maybe? He wants more, she doesn't, etc.

And then when she goes away to Europe for a school thing, not so ironically Asher ends up in the mix again. It ends on a massive cliffhanger so be prepared to jump right into the 2nd book immediately.

Sweet 3.5

I really did like this story, but it loses Some points for me in a couple spots.
*****Mild spoilers*****

1/2 star bc Breslin is really hard to sympathise w. When she won't let anyone else talk. And If she had, shit would've been so much easier for everyone.
1/2 star bc while I am very familiar with the homophobia and fear that still runs though this world sometimes, what 18 yo or 21 YEAR OLD has never even heard of bisexuality!? I'm not implying that figuring out or accept your sexuality is easy, but the term itself is common language and the "I must only be into guys now" angst was hard to swallow.
1/2 star bc the ending felt really rushed. Two whole novels for them to admit they all care about each other not until the last 10 pages.

Its a HEA but you don't get to enjoy it much :/

This wasn’t very well written and although I don’t usually mind the miscommunication trope thaaat much, this was frustrating because of how obviously solvable the problem was. It was an okay read. I hope the second one is better.

I read first Complicated Part series where Breslin, Asher and Landon are side characters. Out of three of them Landon is most interesting still it's too short.

A little bit of too much back and forth for me to really enjoy this book.

This was quite enjoyable. The story of love lost and finding out that your love cheated (regardless of circumstances) is rough and relatable.

It was an okay read but it kept me entertained for the most part. My biggest issue with this duet was the overuse of ellipses instead of commas, especially in the first book.

The relationship was overall pretty toxic and a big part of the conflict in the story relied heavily on miscommunication.

”It's my turn,” I say, before I press my lips to his. Breslin Rae wanted to start a war—well, she's fucking got one. Only this is a war that I have every intention of winning.”

i did enjoy this book. however, i do think i enjoyed it mostly because of the MM relationship taking shape. our FMC isnt in this book too terribly much because she does go on a trip. i absolutely love Landon. he is my favorite character. i have a love/hate relationship with Asher. this looks like it could be a love triangle but i dont think it ends up being that?? im not sure. we will see what happens in book 2.
