I liked this book and it was fun to read! Some of the science/chemistry explanations were interesting but dragged out a little bit, but I did appreciate all the explanation given by the author. Some of the book, especially at the end, just seemed a little far-fetched and then I felt like the author was putting a little too much faith in his heroine (/criminal mastermind/untapped potential).
SpoilerThe whole story hinted that she messed up her life because she didn't care about school and upset her father and was homeless, that she was very intelligent (basically a genius who brags that she taught herself how to design schematics in a few hours). I also cannot imagine that NO ONE died, especially when Sanchez said that with the amount of gas in the air they would probably die within an hour!! I can't imagine she was able to take care of everything within an hour and NO ONE died...
This book reads like a movie, a lot of action and explanation while things are happening, and not too much inner voice or emotions or thought.

4.5. I was sure I would give this a 5 until close to the end of the book, when things became just a little *too* unrealistic for me. But overall it was a fun and exciting read, and Weir did an excellent job with the narrator’s voice.

Didn’t start off bad and I actually didn’t mind the MC at first but damn it did go down hill pretty fast, really I should have DNF’d but I liked a lot of the side characters and the narrator was good.

The thing that really pissed me off though is that Jazz mentions romantic involvement with three men in the course of her life and has inner thoughts that a few people are attractive - and the WHOLE MOON basically slut shames her. Including her father! The way people talked about and to her you would think she was having sex with every single person on the moon (and even if she was that still doesn’t make slut shaming okay) - but no!!
