I was curious to see what all the fuss was about with this book. Though it wasn’t the worst book I’ve read, it certainly was not my favorite. I completely loathed Aaron as a character. He was obnoxious and useless. I think drama could have been added to the “plot” without him being in it. The main couple I was fine enough with, but I just felt like most of it could’ve used more development.

I gave it one star for the fact that I made it to the end, one star for Henry, and one star for
someone finally punching Aaron in the face

It is a good read, not for children. The plot is more for mature audiences. I love the characters and how it sucks you into the story.

Blech. This book was just so…boring. And there were way too many characters to keep straight. There were so many scenes that added nothing to the book. I kept finding myself thinking “oooookay, when’s the story going to pick up?”
And the pregnancy epilogue? Please. Nobody wanted that. Not every romance novel needs to end with a pregnancy.
This apparently started as a Wattpad book and it shows.

Not for me.
2 stars for the beginning and for Henry, the half for the
“partner standing up to partner’s shitty parents at the dinner table” thing,

-1 star for “bub”
-1 star for Nate
-half for
“He grumbled something about fucking the patriarchy and went back to whatever he was doing at the time.”

It started off pretty well, but I think it lost me pretty early on in the book.

I think there were a few main things that made me less interested in the book: first, the smut is pretty blah. Like I definitely am not opposed to smut, but the type that was written just didn’t fit their personalities (in my opinion!) and I also didn’t feel any like…love? Even after they admitted their feelings? Idk maybe I was just disconnected.

Secondly, the plot was…what exactly? I think I really tried to get into it because of how popular it is, but I became bored once I realized the conflict was just Aaron being an asshole. Glad he got his ass onto the next school, but I spent such a long time just questioning if I was supposed to care about anything else besides their relationship. And I didn’t really even enjoy that part.

Lastly, not as important, but they’re way too grown to be acting like that lol

I liked the book and won’t think harder about it. Therapy speak was a bit much. The actual plot went a bit slow then warp speed at the end.
