I wanted to like this book but I found nothing it in that compelled me to go on. I wasn't drawn to the old New York aesthetic and I didn't like the characters or the mode of time travel.

Loved the story but my enjoyment of this book was marred by its illustrations that were from the wrong time period. Hoping that has been corrected in subsequent editions.

This book was fantastic. I'm honestly hard pressed to review this without giving too much of the story away. This is a book about time travel that is written differently than any other I've read on the topic. The history buff in my was drooling over the presentation of 1880's New York. This book was like an Indiana Jones type adventure taking place split between modern times and turn of the century New York and even included a brief love story. I found it difficult to put down and will be reading the sequel in the very near future.
