This is such a perfectly blended together book of wholesome teen romance and the characters dealing with stuff they shouldn’t have to. Jenny Ireland might be my new favourite teen romance author!
I love the character development of Tara especially, but also Ronan and Jules as well.
This book shows that it is okay to ask for help from friends and the adults on your life.

I wonder if I'm so far removed from my teenage years that all the teenage behaviour and conflicts in this book felt pretty ridiculous and unbelievably dramatic to me. But I do read a lot of contemporary YA otherwise and it just doesn't usually feel this painful to read. One star for the arthritis rep & one for deconstructing the mean queen bee trope.
