Ah, finally. The love story of Beast and Grim at the palm of my hands, le sigh. Right from the start, this book has a different vibe to it that I couldn't put my finger to. I was pulled into it and into the story. I loved that we were shown Beast's soft side, his loyalty and protectiveness other than his fierce and sometimes funny side that we saw from previous series. I'm definitely living for the angst, longing and agony that our main characters are going through. This is a very well written slow burn romance that will burn you right along with the characters. Oh and I'm loving it. It has been such a long time that I have read a great slow burn romance this fucking good. Clearly, the author is out to make me suffer because, blueballitis, anyone? I love, love, love this and can't wait for the final book!

This is a spin off series from Academy of Stardom I believe. I have not read that series so this is slightly out of order for me. As this is a spin off, the other series is not a required read in order to read this one.
With that being said this book was sooo good! And I will definitely be reading all of Bea's other books!
Grimm is a bada** that doesn't take sh*t from anyone. She's young and innocent but can definitely take care of herself. Beast is her father's enforcer and her unofficial bodyguard. Their feelings for each other are strong and undeniable and Beast would do anything for Grimm including cutting out the hearts of her enemies. The tension between Grimm and Beast was hot!! I cannot wait for the next book in the series!

100% worth the wait to finally get Beast & Grim’s story told! When I say I dove in headfirst and didn’t come up for air until I was done, I mean obsession happened! If you’ve read any of Bea’s previous works you’ll be somewhat familiar with the main characters of this love story, especially if you’ve read and loved the academy of stardom books! What starts out as a forbidden bodyguard with an age gap twist for the (mafia) boss’ daughter turns into something so full of tension and love…. We’ve already seen their HEA but the journey to how they’ve gotten there is all new & consuming

This story was awesome but that ending...ugh!!!! I mean if Grim doesn't want Beast I'll take him. I want a man that's going to love me like that. Thank goodness I just found this complete duet so I can dive right into book 2.

I have been waiting for Grim and Beast’s story since we were introduced to them and Bea Paige did not disappoint us. We do know some of their story from other books but this book just gave us so much more. Reading the other series within the world is not a requirement but I highly recommend them.
The tension between the two is palpable throughout. I loved getting to know their beginnings and understanding what exactly was going through their minds during each step. The chemistry is astronomical but it takes more than that and this book helped showcase this.
I felt like I experienced a plethora of emotions while reading this book. There were numerous twists and turns and I still wasn’t prepared for that climax. I cannot wait for the conclusion of this duet and see what lies in store for this couple.

I enjoyed this book so much. This was such a lovely reading experience and one that kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire time. This book was just a delight to read.

The ending of this book, damn thats just cruel. I don’t think I have ever been this excited to read a sequel of a book so I can know what happens next. I was just so engaged in this story and I just need to know how it will continue.

The more Grim temps Beast, the harder it is for him to stay away from her. He is there for her when her father treats her badly, and will always be there for her if she needs him.
I loved the banter between Beast and Grim. Will Beast be able to keep his distance from Grim? Will Grim get her wish and be able to be with Beast? What happens when her father figures out they like each other?
So much happened in this book, and I can't wait to see what happens with these characters next.
