I feel like I was a little bit let down with this one because I just read Just For The Summer which I absolutely loved. I think that there was a tiny bit of a disconnect for me with the characters and story where it felt like something was missing to make it a higher rated read for me. I feel like I wanted more fleshed out with Adrian. The conflict with his dad felt undercooked and I wanted more from it also more panic attack representation. However, I did find the story very raw and emotional.

Ugh Abby 🥹 I continue to love her writing style and the stories she writes. This one is heartbreakingly beautiful. Forever loving how Abby writes about tough subjects so well.

I would say off all the Abby Jimenez books I've read, this falls to the bottom for me. I wasn't able to get hooked into Adrian and Vanessa's story in the same way that I was able to get hooked into the other characters in this series. I did eventually get hooked enough to finish it, but I think I was stubborn more than really in love with the stories of these characters.
