Sort of A Secret History x Mean Girls x Powerpuff Girls, as it's kind of dark academia wearing a dress with kittens. I buddy read this and it was so good to be able to discuss this while reading, because half of the time all I could say was 'what the fuck?'

The more I think about this book, the creepier it gets. I posed the question about whether this book was bonkers or brilliant and, after reading a reddit post that clarified so. much. for me, I'd say this book is bonkers brilliant.

I loved being weirded out throughout the book, and genuinely blown off my socks after getting explained the what and why of this book (and no, I am not ashamed that I didn't get it at first and needed explaining).

Read this for your weird AF creepy Spooktober list! Or just because TikTok said you should.

P.S. Having the same name as the MC and her being addressed all. the. time. was SO WEIRD.

weird weird book, honestly. not that i loved it or hated it, just felt really lost and couldnt grasp the message.
also, if you liked if we were villains, aka

books with weirdly vague gay love stories between the main character and their roommate where nothing really happens between them but in the end the main character finally admits their had gay feelings but also set at university with weird cult vibes

you might like this

narratively it reminded me of nightbitch and my year of rest and relaxation. weirdly detached and you really have to pay attention to understand whats going on. similarly paced as well.
