I didn't really like this book, it didn't really seem to have a plot instead it was just a sex book. I kept hoping for a plot but the characters just continued having sex.

Sexy firemen...check
Serious heat...check
Steamy, naughty thought inducing and leg shifting reader involvement...check
Hot menage...check
All the beginnings of hot, filthy fun just add batteries. Lol.
Was it hot? Yeah, it was. The problem is that I couldn't really connect with the characters. I wasn't emotional attached. It felt more like a fun romp but it is still some naughty fun.

There's not much to say about this one, except that it's a steamy romance and certainly worthy of your time!
Heat's the third book I've read by Opal Carew and I think it may have been the best one. I'm not really such a fan of menage à trois, but damn, Opal Carew knows how to write hot threesomes! I also much preferred her writing style in this one (compared to Nailed). But what may have surprised me most was the amount of dialogue vs sex scenes. There was a lot more plot and dialogue than I expected and that's probably part of the reason why I liked this book so much .
Anyway, if you like sexy firefighters and you don't mind getting hot and bothered, this book is definitely for you!

Nothing about this book worked for me, unfortunately. The heroine was a god awful whiny ninny.

Not my favorite book from Carew. The characters and storyline felt a bit off compared to other books. There was a lot of back and forth going on. At times it seemed almost too much and took over.

Heat is a “why choose” romance that follows Rikki in her new life in a new town after her tragic backstory. Rikki tends to be very cold towards possible suitors and not just because she’s a virgin but because the love of her life died while fighting fires- that is until she meets Simon and carter who hit it off with her immediately. The story follows them and their sexy times as the try figuring out a relationship between the three of them. The spicy scenes were probably about a 1-2 on the spice level. It’s not the spiciest thing I’ve read but there were moments where I was captivated. The sex felt very repetitive as if I was reading the same scene over and over. One of my main pet peeves about books is when they rely too heavily on miscommunication to cause drama. I feel like in this day and age we’ve learned to just stop and really listen to eachother to avoid miscommunication ordeals. I wish the big break up scene was more communicated that he wanted to protect her. It would have been wonderful to see them work it out in a healthy way and see the turmoil that Simon was in. it just wasn’t as good as I wanted it to be and I don’t think I’ll really ever come back to it or be like “oh this is one you should read.” That’s why it gets a 2/5 for me and I think in overall spice gets 1.5/5.

Received this book through Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
Firefighters are not really a big part of my imaginary, however the story in this book was interesting enough to keep my attention going and the hot scenes did not disappoint.
All in all these were a few hours spent.
