Not sure how to rate this one. I did like the relationship development, in the beginning, even if it was quick, but then it escalated too quickly. Keira had no previous bdsm experience, and because she was being pushy, Will just went along with her. I think a good dom would have slowed them down and really taken the time to explain how a D/s relationship really works, exactly what he expected of her, and start slow and work their way up to push limits. I hated that the first time they had sex he chose to stick his fingers in her a$$ as his way of forcing her to acknowledge that she trusted him and completely belonged to him. Just seemed over the top. I did like that Will wanted to take care of her and take some of the pressure off her shoulders although I think he went about it the wrong way. I do think Keira was being overly bitchy though. Maybe it's because I've not been in the situation, but I don't understand feeling like you have to do everything for your younger siblings or try to make things perfect for them because a parent died. You aren't the parent. I understand stepping in to help out, but taking the entire burden of trying to help raise them like a mother is too much, esp. considering they weren't much younger than her. I think this story would have been much better had it been just a bit longer to allow more time for relationship development and initiating Keira into the lifestyle.

Randomly noticed that this was on KU and has been on my TBR for over two years. So I figured, 'why not?' and dove into it.

Come Monday went by pretty quickly. In it, you will meet Keira and Will. She's 27 and goes to college to earn a degree in Business. Unfortunately for her, she has to take this English class where the teacher constantly gives her C's. Enter the teacher, Will, and they had some tension going on between them.

It didn't take long for them to start a relationship or to get to know each other intimately. He definitely sparked something inside of her which is probably why she got scared and wanted out of the whole relationship. You see, Keira tried to be the 'Mom' to her family after her mother's untimely death. She wanted to be there for everyone within her family and when she realized that she didn't know what was going on in their lives.. she wanted out.

After that, they eventually found a way back to one another and said the 'I love you's". The end was kind of cute and I could see myself easily diving into the second book just because these are pretty short books.

Emotional and S-E-X-Y read...

Great start to a series. We get so much information about the Collins family wrapped up in Keira’s story, yet this is her story and it’s heartbreaking and sweet and hot.

Omg this book is HOT. Kiera finds her English professor dark sexy commanding but as her teacher she dismissed any chance with him, so she settles for hot fantasy until he turns up a her family's pub then all bets are off.
I love how this is a new awaking for Kiera especially when Will introducing her to BDSM and having a life of her own. Love the big family and that all the member have their own character that u can tell them apart and don't bleed into each other. Great HEA.

As the eldest daughter Keira works hard to keep her family and the family business running. She's finally given herself a break and has started taking college courses. At 27 she feels a little odd because she is among the older students in the class and it does put her closer in age to her very attractive professor. What started as a professor/student relationship quickly heats up after the semester ends. But can Keira give her self the chance at happiness when she feels like she's letting her family down? I really sexy story and loved the introduction to the other siblings. Fun read!

Come Monday is a very quick, insta-love story.

There's a few tropes involved and the secondary plot runs alongside Wallace's BDSM need in the bedroom. Everything is very surface level with how breif the story is and there isn't any time for Monday or Wallace to second guess the progress of their relationship. Monday and Wallace move from a studen/teacher trope to a dominante/submissive trope, unfortunately, it's very surface level and there isn't much depth.

There's plenty of steam and Mari Carr definitely dove into anything involving bedroom activities in a lot of depth, which we all need in smut!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. I found it lovely with its inclusion of a strong family dynamic with both main players having their own strength. Would recommend this book for a good read.
