One scary book filled with technical details of the Stuxnet malware and political landscape leading to its development. Was a very interesting read.

A truly eye-opening account of digital weapons, cyberwar and the ingenious Stuxnet worm. The book is remarkably critical of the US government despite they being the biggest roleplayer. I found myself questioning a lot of my previous assumptions, like whether security exploits can be used for a perceived good, and then if so, who is the good guy and who is the bad guy. A bit of repetition here and there, and a peculiar final chapter that was out of place and not really needed. The penultimate chapter served as a better conclusion. All in all a very interesting read.

Interesting...though at times it felt like it was more a in depth over view of the Iranian nuclear program than about the development of digital weapons. Nonetheless, it was fascinating and filled in quite a few of the details that never reached prominence in the general media (or even much of the technology media).

A thorough and technically detailed investigation into Stuxnet and the corresponding effects it had politically for Iran-American-Israeli relations and in terms of the rules of engagement for cyberwarfare. I know a lot more about uranium enrichment and malware after reading this book. It covered a lot of ground that sometimes meant the focus was shifting in several directions and it was a long haul book. Well-written and kept you interested through the technical bits, however.

It started off really well, very thriller like and exciting. Unfortunately, it lost a bit of momentum towards the end.
The book is thoroughly researched and very informative! I knew nothing about computer codes and security and I understood the background of the story very well.

Fascinating subject matter and an excellent first 2/3's of the book marred by repetitiveness and too much fluff on political ramifications and government policy.
Would recommend to anyone remotely interested in cyber security and/or US - Middle East relations.
