kept me pretty entertained, some of the chapters taking place in the past could’ve been kept shorter
and did not see that plot twist coming, even though i’m not sure what to think of it and what it is supposed to tell us on a meta level, concerning society (which this book talks about a lot)

Plot twist op het einde zorgde voor de 5e ster! Leest vlot en is een grappig boek

Bella was doing such a good job up until the end. I get where this was going, was I happy about this? No. Did it make the last portion of book more interesting? definitely yes.
Apart from that book had so much potential, Grace was an interesting and unique character. Despite what others might say I believe she was a strongly opinionated woman and there’s nothing wrong with that! Except for some things (the tidbit information on influencers, what the hell was that? I don’t believe that, not that I’m an influencer but it was a bit extreme). It’s admirable that she could dissociate from the deaths so quickly, that too for a novice murderer (that makes me sound like I know a lot about them, I don’t of course, I just have been reading too much murder books lately). The ability to plan this incidents and to make them look like accidents (the fact that she had multiple instagram accounts to spy on artemis’ all with unique back story was clever).
Now, on the views she had, I was and still am so inspired by the books she read (feminist literature). how men manipulate women in such miniscule ways, teenagers, sense of humor. I would love to be friends with her, with equal parts of fascination and terror.
In the end, I am glad I could read a character like Grace Bernard, she deserved more. Just like all the women in the world and it's sad that we can't even get that in fiction.
Spoiler
Why just why did you have to add the sibling element? I took the one star off just for that reason. I’m not supporting Grace’s conscience but she did deserve the money! And to kill Simon come on that was the best part. I guess I see why you did it, to get this jaded sense of unfairness in life or maybe it was even though Grace tried so hard to remove the trace of toxic artemis', Simon still left one behind, his illegitmate son Harry.Apart from that book had so much potential, Grace was an interesting and unique character. Spoiler
What I don't get is this, grace was following artemis' since so long, how could she not realise someone was following her. She seems too smart for that and she was not dense or panic stricken to not realise a certain white male was following her around. Secondly, Kelly. She could have easily predicted that from, miles away. I PREDICTED THAT, it just doesn't make sense. I think at this point author was just in a hurry to get to the end and since she didn't want a cliche ending, she came up with another illegitimate child but this had flaws. In the end, I am glad I could read a character like Grace Bernard, she deserved more. Just found the main character annoying but not in the fun way
I found this book fascinating and gripping. I was totally hooked and begrudgingly put it down each night as I wanted to know what happened next! You totally end up rooting for this girl and want her to achieve this mad, sadistic goal! But the ending ARGH, so frustrating but…in an entertaining way!?
(SPOILER ALERT) If she’d killed them all off & got the money, I guess it would’ve actually been a bit of a dull ending but I just think this half-brother of hers was another entitled idiot! He did all of that stalking and getting Kelly to spy on her but still didn’t give Grace any cash after all that
