This is my last book of 2023, and what a book it was! It definitely belongs in my top 10.

Reading helps me be more empathetic, and I think this book goes a long way in helping me understand that people all over the world, including Palestinians, want to be free from oppression. I don’t understand much of the Palestinian and Israeli historical conflict, but, damn, we need to be better humans. This desire to rule other human beings, degrade them, and harm them must stop. #palestine #ukraine #sudan #congo

We must do better and demand that our leaders do better.

Everyone should read this book. While it is fiction, it is still very much what Palestinians are having to endure by the occupation.
