I loved this book. A tale of living revolution, practiced through love. Painful. Heartwarming, heartbreaking. Heavy.

beautiful book that portrayed the complex intersection between the middle eastern feminine identity, palestinean diaspora, and geopolitical tensions from a single POV. There is an interplay between characters of varying shades of morality, drawn into circles which visit one another again and again in their own little arcs. The thematic element of a "prison" is fully on force here as our protagonist endures different prisons throughout her life, her gender, her identity, and finally an actual prison

I liked the parts which portrayed the enduring resilience of the palestinean people, some might've found it underpaced but I did find it essential as part of the ongoing death and rebirth, again and again, in the light of insurmountable odds

This was a brilliant read.
