Some really strong poems at the beginning of this collection especially. A number of poems still fell flat for me. A nice book to have on hand for a relatively easy read when I needed it though!

This poet has quickly become my favorite in the world. This collection is magnificent. Thank you for putting this out into the world, Andrea.

Andrea Gibson is one of my favorite spoken word poets, and while it is nice to be able to read their words, I have to say that they are better consumed as a performance. There's something about how they deliver their own words that brings what's written on the page to the next level.

That said, I am not great at reading poetry. Those who read a lot of poetry may enjoy the written stanzas much more than I did. Regardless of how you consume Andrea's poems, there's no denying that they are a talented writer and have a way of taking the every day mundane things that make up life seem magical.

To that end, I think my favorite poem in the collection was "Acceptance Speech After Setting the World Record in Goosebumps."
