This book felt so magical, I loved it. I just want to jump in this story and live in The Night Circus too. And Marco and Celia’s story was absolutely beautiful. It reminded me of ‘Divine Rivals’

The only thing I didn’t like is that it took SO LONG for the romance to begin. But the waiting was worth it, don’t get me wrong

I was disappointed by this. I think the premise was brilliant, but I found everything else was lacklustre. The world building wasn't vivid enough, and the characters were nothing special and predictable. The writing had its up and downs.

Also, it really jumped the gun on its romance. It went from acquaintances to lovers too fast for my preferences.

I had a really hard time getting through this book. I felt like I was just waiting for things to happen and when they did, they were underwhelming. The frequent perspective shifts and the random chapters written in second person really threw me off.

so whimsical.
i think the concept of a circus itself is just so beautiful and this book also is set on 1800's - 1900's just make it so much more magical.
however, i do think you need to push through the first 300 pages of world-building and getting a grasp of WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON to enjoy it, also the constant changes of point-of-views can be quite boring.
but when you get through Marco's longing and love confessions oh i had to put the book down for a bit and run around my room, for some time i didn't quite understand him, now he is one of my favorite characters on this book. Prospero the enchanter is also a crazy freak who the hell chooses immortality? may he find a way to escape this prison he locked himself in
