Estoy entre 3.5 o 4⭐️

Esperaba que me volara la cabeza pero a pesar de que lo disfrute, no fue lo que esperaba. Decidiré mejor el puntaje cuando escriba una reseña más extensa.

the secret history but shakespeare. i finished this 2 days ago and my obsession just grows as time goes on. the last book i read that left as lasting of an impact on me was the goldfinch. god this was done so well, exeunt omnes still haunts me.

hard to read in the beginning because the quotes made no sense. after i left the book dnf-ed for about a year i finally read it. such an insane book with an insane ending. so glad i finally got through it.

I didn't initially want to compare this to the secret history, but i kinda can't help it since some of the plot structures are quite similar. In short, i think this one is more palatable, writing style-wise, but i like the secret history better. The first half of this book is kinda dragging, although it picks up on the second half. The characters quoting shakespeare all the time made me dizzy sometimes lmao. It's fine when the lines they're reciting hold double meaning with the situation they're facing in real life, but sometimes they're just in the literal play and the author still decided to write down the whole dialog.... I skipped a lot of those
