In the book 'A fault in our stars' the mc reads a book that ends in the middle of a sentence, indicating that the author has died and how life and death can be the same way. I felt as though I heard echoes of that nonexistent book here. In the book, Death truly was sudden and violent and swept by so quickly that I could feel Sam's pain and fear.
I loved how Time, Disease and Death were described in a way that made them feel sentient too. I love this book. I only wish that it took more time to describe Hikari's full journey to finding hope in more detail. I could also interpret it as how hopeful times seem to pass by in a blur and tragedy seems to linger forever.
Looking forward to the author's future works.

i can’t put into words how amazing this book is.
it is by far the saddest thing i’ve ever read
it’s left me sobbing for hours to the point where i can’t breathe
i feel like i know all the characters personally and i’ve grown so attached to them all

Apparently it was time for my occasional reminder that I don‘t like contemporary.
