The drugs part I didn't care for and almost made me DNF it, but I had to ILL this version (cd audio) from another library, so I didn't want to waste their effort. Real review to come. Maybe.

THE REVIEW

Why this book?

It seemed interesting

What I thought

This book is about healing after Ethan and Dylan are Kidnapped and found and how their families deal with the situation. This was a beautiful written story. This is the kind of book you don't want to put down, unless you absolutely have to. The characters are well developed and the friendship between Caroline and Ethan warmed my heart. There really is no romance a couple kisses here and there, but that didn't bother me because the story that was being told was so heartfelt. I highly recommend this book.

11-year-old Dylan is kidnapped but found within a few days. Unexpectedly, Ethan, a boy who was kidnapped 4 years earlier, is with him. When Dylan's sister Caroline can't find a way to help her little brother, she turns to Ethan to try to find answers.

This story is the "after" of a kidnapping. As the story moves between Ethan's and Caroline's telling, we keep track to time by how many days "after" the boys' return. The story moves smoothly and the characters are well written and honest.

This is the first book I've read by this author and look forward to reading more.

I received this audiobook in a Goodreads giveaway.
