After seeing mixed reviews for this one, I'm glad it was a hit for me!
The beginning of this book had me worried, though. I was not meshing with Daphne and found the whole random letters from the universe thing to be lacking. It wasn't as exciting or interesting as I thought it would be.
But then her relationship with Jake is progressing and I really liked Jake and thought he brought out the best in Daphne. And the way this story was formatted with explanations of  Daphne's previous doomed relationships gave me more insight to her character and therefore made me like her.
You can't help but feel sympathy for Daphne because these letters are really messing with her love life and her head. But also she's an adult and doesn't have to listen to these letters. Where are they even coming from?! Nobody knows. I wish we could've seen what would happen if Daphne disregarded the letters. It would've made this whole "magical" aspect to the story better.
Overall, I really enjoyed how this story was more of a love letter to one's self. Daphne had to learn how to love herself after being diagnosed with a chronic disease. And she can't love somebody else until she loves herself. This book was heartbreaking, though, so if you're looking for a deeper love story, this is one to try.

I really liked this book. At first it seemed it was about one thing and I was fine with that but then it suddenly became about something else. At that point I really became absorbed and invested in the story. I couldn’t stop listening. I flew this book in a day. My only complaint is that I wanted it to last longer.
