Dear Sexy Ex-Boyfriend is the cutest, dreamiest friends to lovers, fake engagement romance. I loved this book!! It had everything I need in a Lauren Blakely book - flirty banter, amazing characters, heat and a lot of heart. Plus, a sexy brit that will absolutely make you swoon.

I love, love, looooove the relationship between Summer and Oliver. Friends since they were young, there is a natural closeness to them. It's obvious how much they like being with each other. The tension that builds as they attempt to remain only friends while pretending to be engaged is everything. My heart hurts and melts simultaneously for Oliver and his reasons why he couldn't pursue anything with Summer.

Lauren Blakey has never let me down. She continues her amazing streak of charming, entertaining, heart happy stories with Dear Sexy Ex-Boyfriend. I wholeheartedly recommend picking up Summer and Oliver's story.

Dear Sexy Ex Boyfriend is the first book in a new series, The Guys Who Got Away, by the talented and fabulous Lauren Blakely. Nothing makes me happier than when one of my favorite authors starts a new series and when it's Lauren? Double the excitement! This is a fun loving, sexy, fake fiancée romance. I love a good fake relationship story especially when they start out as best friends. Oliver and Summer have known each other since they were kids. They've always been best friends but they never crossed the line into more. Even if they wanted to. Their friendship means more than anything. Until Summer writes a story that goes viral and shows Oliver in a not so good light. It was a joke, no one was ever supposed to know it was him. Now, they have to fake an engagement to save his business. It's not going to be hard to fake the closeness. The friendliness. But what about the kisses? The secret looks? Are these really fake? I loved this story! Oliver is sexy with his British accent, handsomeness and intelligence. Summer is beautiful, dedicated and a true friend. I loved watching these best friends pretend and then fall. Hard and Fast. Already looking forward to more in the series!

Audio: Shane East and Andi Arndt narrate this sexiness duet style with Joe Arden and Kit Swann making appearances. I love duet style and I absolutely adore Shane and Andi. They brought Lauren's words to life perfectly, as always.

This was a wonderful story! It was made SO much better by all the Easter eggs

Andi Ardnt and Shane East are a great narrator combo just by themselves but adding Joe Arden for some parts and Kitt Swann also in small snippets was a lot of fun!

Listening to the fireside chat/bloopers at the end was awesome also! Shane and Andi just kept laughing! I bet it took longer than it should have with all the laughter lol

One of my favorite tropes, friends to lovers. I really enjoyed getting to know these characters. They were effortless with each other. They knew each other and that is why it worked so well for them. They truly wanted what was best for the other person. So of course she would become his girlfriend to save his job.

Oliver truly in his heart of hearts didn’t want to rock the boat and give Summer any reason to not be his friend. Her friendship means more to him than anything else. It was sweet how he came to see just how much he loves her, as in more than friends. Summer is the kind of woman who knows who she is but is still holding back, I like that she could and does be herself with Oliver. It was endearing.

I love that there wasn’t angst, there wasn’t drama. This is exactly why I love romance. The falling in love with the person who gets you 100% it is amazing.

The narration: Do I even have to say it, fantastic. Shane is quickly becoming a favorite of mine which kind of threw me for a loop too. Andi is Andi and she is great.

I adored this book. It made me laugh so much and I loved the characters, even though their whole resisting due to messing up their friendship bit got a bit old for me after a while, I get it. But so much of it was just plain truth. First, there is the whole thing about being friends with someone good looking having the horrible side effects of not being able to help yourself from occasionally thinking thoughts about them you know you shouldn’t. And then I learned a new dating term, submarining. It’s happened to me a couple times. Guys on Tinder that I think have ghosted me all of a sudden pop back up a few months later and want to talk again. So now I’ve learned ghosting and submarining. Both suck.

Now whenever a book tells me to Google something, let’s just say that I do it. And when I tried to Google just the name of the person they said in the book, I didn’t have pop up first what they did, so that was a little disappointing. LOL!

Otherwise, I could hardly put the book down to do anything else, and I sped through the story whenever I had a minute to spare. I definitely want to read the others that we know will be about probably her brother and also I think one of Oliver’s friends.

Dear Sexy Ex-Boyfriend had so many classic Lauren Blakely vibes and I LOVED every single moment of this friends to lovers romance.

Summer and Oliver have been friends forever, they have been there for each other through the good and the bad times. Oliver needs Summer to pretend to be his fake fiancé, however, their feelings for each other aren’t fake, but is it worth risking their relationship for?

I loved the friendship between Summer and Oliver. They have loads of chemistry and you can feel how much they truly do care for each other. Summer is sassy and caring. Oliver is caring and hello British accent. There is so much greatness in this book and it was the perfect read that will leave you feeling good.

If you’re looking for a friends to lovers rom com this is definitely a MUST READ.

What a cute romcom, I absolutely adored it! This was my first full novel by the author and I can't wait to read more. Summer Oliver were childhood best friends that have been there for each other through every difficulty. Another one arises and they have to now pretend that they're engaged. But pretending isn't so easy when feeling surface. This was so cute with no misunderstandings and both characters were a breath of fresh air. Was left a bit disappointed by the epilogue but it was still cute. Highly recommend!
